The Academy teaches general electrical diagnosis using vehicle-neutral training circuits. Values used in lessons are instructional assumptions invented for teaching, or results calculated from them. They are not specifications for any vehicle, and a number learned in a lesson must never be applied to a real vehicle. Where a lesson has no supported value it says so rather than supplying one.
The manufacturer's service information, and the instructions supplied with your own tools, equipment and battery, always control. Where they differ from anything taught here, follow them.
The Academy covers low-voltage direct-current vehicle circuits. It does not cover high-voltage hybrid or electric-vehicle systems, pyrotechnic restraint systems such as airbags and pretensioners, or any procedure a manufacturer reserves to qualified personnel. Do not use anything learned here on those systems. Level 7 battery-support material is mandatory safety training and is not a substitute for the instructions supplied with your vehicle, battery, charger or jump-starting equipment.
Working on vehicles and their electrical systems carries risk of injury, fire, electric shock, property damage and damage to the vehicle. You are responsible for deciding whether you are competent to perform a given task, for working safely, and for complying with the law where you are. If you are not sure, stop and consult a qualified technician. You perform any work at your own risk.

Course progress and completion within the Academy record practice on training exercises; they are not a professional certification or qualification and do not represent competence to work on a customer vehicle.
Please do not scrape or bulk-copy the catalogs or course content, resell or redistribute them, attempt to break or overload the site or its accounts, or use the site to break the law. We may suspend access for any of these.
Your projects, inventory and build sheets remain yours. If you use backup, you give us permission to store and reproduce that content only as needed to provide the service to you. The Privacy Policy describes what is stored and where.
